In 2009 I was invited to create an installation for the OPEN CUBE project at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oaxaca. I covered the northern courtyard floor with ashes and charcoal and every few days I put different objects on this gray-black ground. At the opening I did a performance in which I encouraged people to return to see the changes. The museum is located on a pedestrian street, which made it easy for the public to visit often. During the last week ten dancers participated in a performance “Chants” in which they made drawings on the white walls of the courtyard to the sounds of Gregorian chanting.
