32 Walls

This site specific installation began when I happened to see the walls of an exhibition space under bright sunlight. I used the resulting photographs to create “little walls” which were hung perpendicularly from those very walls. I then added other images: human backs, water, rock, and bark which helped to make the project more intimate. In the largest room I framed an entire wall with a photographic collage which also integrated photos of the unusual floor. The public was asked to write the answer to the question: which wall do you want to construct or tear down in the world and in your life? The exhibition was inaugurated with a performance by Bhutto dancer Jaime Razzo from Mexico City.
